COSCO SHIP DEV (02866) announced that on August 26, 2025 (after trading hours), Dongfang Fuli entered into a memorandum of understanding and bareboat charter contract with charterer ORYX LNG NO. 10 SHIPPING CORPORATION. Under the agreement, Dongfang Fuli has agreed to (i) purchase one leased vessel from the charterer at a purchase price of approximately RMB 2.579 billion; and (ii) immediately following delivery, charter back the leased vessel to the charterer with total estimated charter fees payable of approximately RMB 3.182 billion. The leased vessel is a 271,000 cubic meter LNG transport vessel registered under the charterer's name and flying the Liberian flag. The 2025 sale and leaseback arrangement constitutes an important component of the Group's ship leasing business. The significant proportion of profit and asset contributions from the ship leasing business demonstrates the growing importance of the ship leasing business segment in the Group's operations and finances. The Group also believes that the ship leasing business has consistently made and will continue to make significant contributions to the Group's development.
