On September 12th, the Beijing-Xiong'an Express Rail Link officially began its full-route trial operations. As a landmark project for the one-hour metropolitan commuting circle between Beijing and Xiong'an, this comprehensive trial run signifies a critical step forward in the integrated operations of the express link with the Beijing Daxing Airport Express, transforming the vision of a "Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region on rails" into a tangible reality at an accelerated pace.

The express line commences at Xiong'an Intercity Station, traversing three cities across the Beijing and Hebei regions, with a total length of approximately 86 kilometers. It stands as the nation's first rapid rail transit line designed for a 200 km/h operational speed, adopting a public-transit-style operational model. Upon reaching Daxing Airport, it connects seamlessly with the Beijing Daxing Airport Express, facilitating through-services to Beijing Caoqiao Station. Once the Lize Station becomes operational, the service will extend further to include Lize.

The innovative design of the Beijing-Xiong'an Express Link integrates the high-speed advantages of long-distance railways with the high-frequency, metro-like operational characteristics of urban rail transit, enabling rapid acceleration and deceleration with convenient, turn-up-and-ride service. This signifies that in the future, passengers departing from the Xiong'an New Area can travel directly to Beijing's Caoqiao Station and gain access to the extensive Beijing metro network. Travelers only need a single ticket or a single QR code to enjoy seamless cross-regional transfers, vastly expanding their travel reach and making commutes between Beijing and Hebei significantly smoother and more efficient.

The current trial phase for the full-route operation covers the segment from Xiong'an Intercity Station to Caoqiao Station and is being executed in two distinct stages. The initial stage focuses on functional testing of key systems such as rolling stock, signaling, and communications, while also conducting practical drills for operations teams in cross-line coordination and emergency response, ensuring all systems meet the required operational standards under integrated conditions. The second stage is scheduled to proceed with a "scenario-based" trial operation phase, which involves comprehensive verification of critical performance indicators like train punctuality and schedule adherence, laying the groundwork for the safety assessments required prior to initial operations.

Serving as a vital transport infrastructure supporting Beijing's "new two wings" development, the express link is strategically aligned with the initiative to relieve Beijing of functions non-essential to its role as the national capital. It offers stable, efficient, and transit-oriented commuting solutions for relocated organizations and their personnel.
