The stock of CNGR (02579) surged more than 4% following a positive profit alert. As of the time of writing, the share price has risen by 4.52% to HK$24.52, with a turnover of HK$108.99 million.

On July 13, the company released an announcement forecasting a net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company in the range of RMB 1.25 billion to RMB 1.35 billion for the first half of 2026. This represents a year-on-year increase of 70.58% to 84.23%.

During the reporting period, the company capitalized on the high-growth opportunities in the global new energy industry, leveraging its leading position in the battery materials sector. The total sales volume of its core products, including nickel-based, cobalt-based, phosphorus-based, and sodium-based materials, exceeded 250,000 tonnes. By segment, sales of ternary precursor materials in the first half increased by over 50% year-on-year, with a stable comprehensive gross margin, further solidifying its industry leadership. Sales of phosphorus-based materials grew by more than 25% year-on-year, with profitability significantly improving, successfully turning a loss into a profit. Sales of sodium-ion battery precursor materials maintained a high growth trajectory, continuing to hold a leading position in the industry.
