On September 8th, online reports claimed that Alibaba's global headquarters has begun using the previously unoccupied C4 building for a highly classified new project. The new project team has independently moved into the building, which now operates under a completely closed office model with additional access control permissions and dedicated security personnel.
According to reports, the project team has been stationed in the building for over two months, yet very few people are aware of the specific details due to the extremely high level of confidentiality.
Some online observers speculate the project may be related to Amap, noting that the company has released numerous job openings over the past month with unprecedented recruitment efforts, possibly aimed at building talent reserves for this classified project.
When contacted about this matter, Amap officials have not yet provided a response.
