Vertiv Holdings LLC (VRT) soared 7.25% intraday on Thursday, extending a sharp recovery from the prior session's steep sell-off. The rebound was fueled by investor reassessment of the company's quarterly results and a comprehensive full-year guidance upgrade.

The data center infrastructure provider reported second-quarter revenue of $3.27 billion, up approximately 24% year-over-year but falling short of market expectations. However, adjusted earnings per share of $1.52 exceeded estimates. Crucially, management raised full-year guidance across all core metrics, with net sales midpoint lifted to $14 billion and adjusted EPS guidance of $6.65 to $6.75, significantly topping consensus.

The guidance upgrade alleviated market anxiety over AI infrastructure capital expenditure pacing, prompting capital to re-enter following a cumulative decline of over 17% in the prior session. The raised outlook signaled management confidence in sustained demand for data center power and thermal infrastructure, providing a floor for the recovery.
