Wall Street stocks showed mixed performance on Monday. Signs of easing tensions in the Middle East boosted market sentiment, but pressure on chip stocks weighed on tech shares, leading to varied closings for the three major indexes. The US dollar strengthened, with the 10-year Treasury yield rising to 4.64%. Gold prices fluctuated slightly lower, while oil prices fell significantly.

Hong Kong's three major indexes opened broadly higher today. The Hang Seng Index opened up 0.26% at 25,271.95 points. The Hang Seng Tech Index rose 0.64%, and the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index gained 0.38%.

On the sector front, internet and tech stocks saw more gains than losses. JD.com Inc and NetEase Inc both rose over 2%, while Lenovo Group and Baidu Inc fell more than 1%. The memory concept sector opened lower, with the CSOP 2x Samsung Electronics Futures ETF dropping over 14%. PCB concept stocks declined broadly, with Kingboard Laminates Holdings Ltd falling over 10%. Gold stocks were sluggish, and Zijin Gold International fell more than 2%.
