Far East Holdings International Limited disclosed that its independent non-executive directors, Mr. Lam Cheung Shing, Richard and Mr. Mak Ka Wing, Patrick, were involved in corporate events at China Water Industry Group Limited during their concurrent tenure as directors of both companies.
On 15 June 2026, the High Court of Hong Kong ordered China Water Industry Group Limited to be wound up under the Companies (Winding Up and Miscellaneous Provisions) Ordinance. The ruling stemmed from a winding-up petition lodged on 17 November 2025 concerning an unpaid loan principal of RMB 216.60 million, plus accrued interest, extended to an indirect non-wholly-owned subsidiary of China Water and guaranteed by the parent company. The Official Receiver has been appointed as provisional liquidator.
Mr. Lam has served as an independent non-executive director of China Water since 5 August 2019, while Mr. Mak assumed the same role on 3 September 2024. Both directors confirmed that they are unaware of any existing or potential claims against them arising from the liquidation proceedings.
Far East Holdings International’s board stated that the winding-up order pertains solely to China Water and does not involve the Group’s businesses or operations. Apart from the information disclosed, the Company affirmed that there are no further matters requiring shareholder attention under the Hong Kong Listing Rules.
