Coda Octopus Group Inc's stock plummeted 5.57% during intraday trading on Monday.
The sharp decline followed the release of the company's fiscal second quarter 2026 financial results, which showed revenue of $6.9 million, a 1.6% year-over-year decrease that missed the analyst consensus estimate of $7.31 million. A significant 26.8% drop in revenue from the core Marine Technology Business to $2.8 million was a key driver, with the company citing reduced demand due to Iran-related regional instability in the Middle East and Asia.
While the company reported strong net income growth of 86.8% to $1.7 million and an increase in diluted EPS to $0.15, the revenue shortfall and weakness in its primary business segment disappointed the market. The company expects procurement activity for its DAVD system to be weighted toward the second half of the fiscal year.
