New Silkroad Culturaltainment Limited (Stock Code: 472) has appointed Prof. Richard Gerardus Franciscus Visser as an independent non-executive Director, as well as a member of the audit committee, remuneration committee, and nomination committee, effective 21 November 2025. Prof. Visser, aged 68, is a member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Sciences and has held various prominent academic and research positions, including professor and vice-rector at Wageningen University in the Netherlands. He has published over 1,100 SCI papers, with more than 47,000 citations, reflecting extensive contributions to plant breeding and molecular genetics.

Prof. Visser has entered into a three-year letter of appointment with New Silkroad Culturaltainment Limited and will receive an annual emolument of HK$180,000. He holds no shares of the company and reports no relationship with any directors, senior management, or major shareholders. Following this appointment, the board comprises six executive Directors and three independent non-executive Directors, fulfilling the requirements for committee compositions under applicable listing rules.
