Wee Hur Holdings Limited said on Jun, 05 2026 that it has secured a 246-bed, 19-storey purpose-built student accommodation asset in Hong Kong’s Fortress Hill under a master lease through a joint venture with Starvia Holdings Ltd.

The property, branded “Starvia by Y Suites on Fortress Hill” and located at 151 King’s Road opposite Fortress Hill MTR Station, offers studio to four-bedroom units and communal facilities such as study areas, a gym, laundry room, common lounge and 24-hour reception with CCTV. Leasing is scheduled to begin in the second half of 2026.

The asset targets students from nearby universities, including the University of Hong Kong, City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Metropolitan University, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Hong Kong Shue Yan University.

Wee Hur said the venture expands its student accommodation platform beyond Australia and positions the group to tap rising, policy-driven demand in a market that Colliers estimates faces an existing shortfall of about 94,000 beds, widening to roughly 120,000 beds by 2028.

Deputy General Manager Eric Wang said the project aligns with the company’s strategy of allocating capital to alternative real-estate assets that offer stable, long-term returns.
