Sina Technology reported on October 20th that during the IROS 2025 Academic Annual Conference at the Meituan Robotics Research Institute, Wang Xingxing spoke about the first principles of embodied intelligence. He stated that in the field of robotics, he strongly supports evaluating based on cost and weight, as many products' costs are related to their weight, which is a hardware aspect. However, regarding intelligence, the first principles of AI remain somewhat ambiguous.

He noted that to date, the concept of intelligence is not fully understood; many people perceive it as data compression, which could distill intelligence, but he believes this may not be the ultimate approach. True intelligence, he feels, is still not deeply comprehended by most people.
