On August 6, financial regulatory authorities disclosed that the Chongqing Branch of Fudian Bank Co., Ltd. has been fined 1.5 million yuan by the Chongqing Financial Regulatory Bureau.
The penalty stems from the branch's loss of control over credit risk management and inadequate internal control effectiveness. The regulator stated that these failures created significant operational risks.
In addition to the corporate fine, two individuals responsible for the violations, Liu Jun and Chen Fengqian, have been permanently banned from working in the banking industry. This disciplinary action underscores the severity of the regulatory findings regarding the branch's oversight and compliance failures.
