Honor CEO Li Jian Discusses Memory Price Hikes and Competitive Challenges: A Company Cannot Achieve Greatness Without Adversity

Li Jian, CEO of Honor, recently addressed the company's current challenges during a media dialogue following the Honor Robot Phone launch event. He joined other top executives including Honor Product Line President Fang Fei, Hardware Engineering President Liu Yang, and AI and Software President Sun Jianfa to discuss the brand's outlook.

Li Jian acknowledged that Honor is navigating a dual-edged environment. On one side, the company faces significant downward pressure from memory price increases and intense industry competition, which he described as a "storm." On the other, a powerful upward force is emerging from strategic adjustments, with technological, industrial, and ecosystem improvements gaining momentum. He noted that technological advancements are visible in AI capabilities, imaging technology, and design. While robot production volumes may not ramp up quickly in the short term, new industries and growth curves led by robotics are taking shape. Ecologically, Honor's YOYO assistant has nearly 300 million users, and its global IoT devices exceed 30 million units, forming the foundation of an AI ecosystem terminal company.

Li Jian stated that Honor is currently "breaking through against the trend" and aims to carve its own path. "A company that does not experience hardships and twists and turns cannot achieve greatness," he said. "Under the immense pressure of memory prices and competition, we can also strengthen the Honor team's capabilities, supporting us to go further and further."
