Goldwind's stock soared 5.74% intraday on Thursday, following the release of the company's robust first-quarter financial results.
The surge was driven by Goldwind's Q1 2026 performance, which exceeded market expectations. The company reported revenue of RMB 15.485 billion, surging 63.48% year-over-year, while net profit attributable to shareholders reached RMB 907 million, up 59.65% YoY. The strong results were primarily driven by increased wind turbine shipments and the resumption of wind farm asset sales.
Citi raised its net profit forecasts for Goldwind for the next two years by 8% to 9%, citing higher-than-expected investment gains from wind farm disposals. Bank of America also noted the quarterly performance beat estimates. The earnings release confirmed the arrival of a profitability inflection point for the wind power sector.
