On September 13th at noon, recent investigations have exposed the phenomenon of malicious public relations campaigns targeting new energy vehicle companies. These so-called "black PR operations" involve the systematic use of technical tools to mass-produce false information and flood comment sections with content designed to damage corporate reputations.
Li Xiaoshuang, Vice President of Xiaomi Auto, addressed this issue, stating: "We need to impose stricter penalties on these malicious PR operations and coordinated inauthentic behavior. From a regulatory perspective, we must increase the costs and consequences for those engaging in such activities."
He further emphasized: "Companies themselves must focus on developing excellent products and services, delivering the most satisfactory offerings to consumers. We should all be partners working together harmoniously in the market, maintaining positive relationships. I believe this is what matters most."
The comments highlight growing concerns within the automotive industry about coordinated campaigns aimed at undermining brand reputation through artificial means.
