BYD's Lian Yubo Elected as Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering

On November 21, the results of the 2025 academician selection for the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering were officially announced, with a total of 144 individuals elected. Among them, 73 were selected as academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, while 71 were elected to the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
Lian Yubo, from BYD Company Limited, was elected as an academician of the Mechanical and Vehicle Engineering Division of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
Public records show that Lian Yubo holds key positions at BYD, including Chief Scientist, Chief Automotive Engineer, and President of the Automotive Engineering Research Institute.
