US Manufacturing PMI Initial Reading for July Arrives at 53.8, Below 54.4 Market Forecast

The S&P Global has released the initial reading for the US Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) for July.
This figure has edged down to 53.8 from June's 53.9, while it stood at 49.8 during the same period last year.
This marks the weakest level recorded since March 2026.
The output index has decreased to 53.6 from June's 56.2.
This also represents the lowest point seen since March 2026.
The employment index has registered an increase compared to the previous month.
