On Tuesday, shares of iQiyi Inc. (IQ.US) climbed more than 4% to $2.145. The company's financial report revealed that its total revenue for Q3 reached RMB 6.68 billion. Notably, its overseas business—positioned as a second growth driver—continued to expand at a high pace, with multiple core metrics hitting record highs.

iQiyi's international segment achieved double-digit year-over-year and quarter-over-quarter revenue growth, marking the highest increase in nearly two years. The average daily number of overseas subscribers also reached an all-time high, while membership revenue surged over 40% YoY.

Key emerging markets demonstrated particularly strong performance, with membership revenue in Brazil, five Spanish-speaking regions, Mexico, and Indonesia more than doubling YoY. This highlights the platform's rapidly growing appeal in these regions.

Original short-form dramas like *How Absurd* performed exceptionally well overseas, driving a 140% QoQ increase in membership revenue. By the end of September, short-form content had become the second-largest revenue contributor after long-form series, based on metrics such as membership revenue and watch time.

To further strengthen its overseas content library, iQiyi is accelerating the development of locally produced short-form dramas. Multiple projects in English, Thai, Korean, and Indonesian are already in production and expected to launch this year, catering to diverse regional preferences.
