特斯拉(TSLA.US)首席执行官埃隆·马斯克周六宣布，这家电动汽车制造商已接近完成其第五代自动驾驶AI芯片(AI5)的设计工作，而第六代芯片(AI6)的研发亦已启动。此举标志着特斯拉正朝着其“九个月芯片迭代周期”的目标快速推进。
"我们的AI5芯片设计已基本完成，AI6研发亦进入早期阶段。未来还将有AI7、AI8、AI9……我们的目标是实现九个月的设计周期，"马斯克在社交媒体X上发文表示。
去年11月，马斯克曾透露，由台积电代工的AI5芯片计划于2027年进入大规模量产，旨在逐步取代特斯拉车辆中当前搭载的AI4芯片。
而去年7月，特斯拉与三星电子签署了价值165亿美元的协议，将在美国本土生产其A16芯片。
马斯克的最新表态显示，特斯拉在推进自研芯片战略、降低对AI芯片龙头英伟达依赖的关键道路上进展顺利。
他更在发文中发出人才招募信号："加入我们，共同打造我认为未来将是全球量产规模最大的AI芯片!"
