Clinical-stage biotechnology company Seaport Therapeutics, which focuses on developing treatments for neuropsychiatric conditions, announced the terms for its initial public offering on Monday. The company plans to offer 11.8 million shares at a price between $16 and $18 per share, seeking to raise approximately $201 million. Seaport Therapeutics intends to list on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol "SPTX." The final IPO price is expected to be determined later this week. Seaport Therapeutics is dedicated to creating oral therapies for neuropsychiatric disorders, including depression, anxiety, and other central nervous system conditions. The company utilizes its proprietary Glyph platform, a prodrug technology designed to target the lymphatic system, improve oral bioavailability, and reduce first-pass metabolism. This approach enables the reformulation of clinically validated mechanisms into differentiated drug candidates. Key pipeline assets include GlyphAllo, a Phase 2b candidate for major depressive disorder, and GlyphAgo, a Phase 1 candidate for generalized anxiety disorder. The company also has preclinical candidates targeting depression and related central nervous system disorders.
