加拿大统计局周一公布的数据显示，受汽油价格上涨速度放缓影响，加拿大六月份的年通胀率降至2.8%。与此同时，受世界杯赛事推动，旅行团价格出现上涨。
此前，市场分析师普遍预测，年通胀率将从五月份的3.2%回落至2.9%。实际数据略低于这一预期。
具体数据显示，六月份消费者价格指数（CPI）所有项目环比下降0.4%，同比上涨2.8%。剔除波动较大的食品和能源价格后，核心通胀指标呈现不同走势：加拿大央行核心CPI同比上涨2.1%，环比微增0.1%；CPI截尾均值同比上涨1.8%；CPI中位数同比上涨1.9%。
分项来看，商品价格同比涨幅显著收窄至3.5%，环比则大幅下降1.2%。服务价格同比上涨2.2%，环比增长0.3%。能源价格同比虽仍上涨14.3%，但环比骤降6.8%，成为拉低整体通胀的主要因素。
经季节性调整后，整体CPI环比微降0.1%，核心CPI（季调后）环比上涨0.2%。
此次通胀数据回落，主要归因于能源成本压力缓解，但服务价格和部分受特定事件（如世界杯）影响的项目仍保持一定上涨势头，显示通胀压力来源正发生变化。
