Following a six-month period, the case, widely regarded as the first major antitrust case in the platform economy for 2026, has reached a conclusion.
On July 25th, the State Administration for Market Regulation legally issued an administrative penalty against Trip.com Group Limited (NASDAQ: TCOM) for abusing its dominant market position to engage in monopolistic behavior. The total fines and confiscations amount to 5.179 billion yuan.
