PDD's Xiong'an Office Building Commences Operations, Set to Welcome 500 Initial Staff

On July 12th, the new office building for PDD Holdings Inc's Xiong'an subsidiary was officially opened for use. The company's logo is now installed on the building's exterior, and the first group of 500 employees is scheduled to move in shortly. The entire Xiong'an workforce is expected to be fully relocated to the new premises by the end of July.

On June 21st, the PDD Group formally completed a purchase agreement with China Power Construction Group, acquiring a 12-story office building in the Xiong'an New Area. This move makes PDD the first internet company to purchase an office building in the new area. The facility is equipped with a large conference center, a training center, and amenities for staff including nursing rooms, leisure areas, and a dedicated cafeteria. Furthermore, the office's location adjacent to the Xiong'an Outlets creates a convenient "15-minute living circle" for employees.

Expansion and Recruitment Drive

With the new office now operational, the Xiong'an company's specialized talent recruitment plan is accelerating, aiming to continuously bring more high-quality professionals to the Xiong'an New Area. As of July 7th, the Xiong'an subsidiary's headcount has surpassed 1,200 employees, making it the largest private enterprise by workforce in the Xiong'an New Area.

A new phase of recruitment has officially begun, with the PDD Group deploying a dedicated team to Xiong'an to comprehensively manage employee recruitment, onboarding, and training. The company plans to create 5,000 new jobs in the area over the coming year.

Strategic Role and Future Plans

The PDD Group has preliminary plans to develop the Xiong'an company into a data processing service center and a hub for the high-quality development of traditional manufacturing. Based on future needs of both the company and the new area, more positions will be released to involve outstanding talent deeply in Xiong'an's construction.

A representative from PDD's Xiong'an company stated that all employees are hired through direct contracts with the company. The firm aims to provide a stable environment for long-term growth through standardized labor relations, a comprehensive benefits system, and clear career progression paths. This approach offers employees a platform to establish roots in the new area while creating high-quality local employment opportunities.

Previously, Zhu Zheng, Executive President of the PDD Group and President of the new Temu business unit, visited the Xiong'an New Area for inspections and formally signed a "Digital Services Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement" with the Xiong'an New Area Management Committee to explore further collaboration.

The official opening of the new office building marks a new chapter for the Xiong'an company.
