Top Glove Corporation returned to the black for the financial year ended Aug 31 2025, posting net profit of RM122.8 million against a RM21.4 million loss a year earlier, as revenue expanded 39 per cent year-on-year (YoY) to RM3.49 billion, lifted by firmer glove sales volumes and stabilising average selling prices.

Basic earnings per share recovered to 1.31 sen from a loss of 0.81 sen previously. The board has proposed a tax-exempt final dividend of 0.48 sen per share, to be paid on Dec 15 2025 to shareholders on record as at Nov 18 2025; no final dividend was declared for FY2024.

By geography, operations in Malaysia generated pre-tax profit of RM176.4 million, more than offsetting a RM17.6 million loss in Thailand. The China and “others” segments contributed RM1.0 million and RM12.1 million respectively, while group eliminations totalled RM23.8 million, resulting in consolidated pre-tax earnings of RM148.2 million.

Top Glove said stronger glove demand, higher plant utilisation and ongoing cost-optimisation measures underpinned the turnaround, although profitability was partly tempered by weaker performance at its Thai manufacturing facilities.

During the year the group completed the RM1.18 billion redemption of its perpetual sukuk and, in February, issued RM800 million of five-year senior sukuk, strengthening its capital structure and reducing interest expense. Capital expenditure of RM141.3 million was channelled mainly into production automation and environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives, while approved capex of RM293.5 million is earmarked for further capacity upgrades and efficiency projects.

Looking ahead, Top Glove expects glove demand to normalise towards pre-pandemic levels amid steady healthcare consumption, and will focus on balancing utilisation rates with prudent capacity expansion, disciplined cost control and portfolio diversification into surgical and specialty gloves.
