During the National Day holiday, the construction site of the Phase One project of the Xin Fadi Agricultural Cold Chain Distribution (Zhangzi) Trading Center in Changzhi was bustling with activity, as builders gave up their holiday rest, stayed at the front line of construction, and seized the golden autumn construction season to fully ignite a project breakthrough surge.
On October 3, reporters at the construction site saw workers each performing their duties, with interior wall plastering, curtain wall installation, and mechanical and electrical pipeline laying carried out simultaneously.
The project has a total investment of about 283 million yuan, covers 99.6 mu, and has a total construction area of 49,600 square meters. It is planned to build five major functional sections: a processing and logistics complex, production and sales cold storage, an e-commerce exhibition and sales center, a fruit and vegetable circulation center, and a meat, poultry, and egg circulation center, striving to create a full-chain agricultural product circulation hub integrating origin pre-cooling, sorting and processing, warehousing and distribution, and wholesale trading.
At present, the main structures of all buildings in the project have been fully topped out, and subsequent works are proceeding in an orderly manner according to the schedule.
Project manager Wang Xianting introduced: "During the National Day holiday, all project department staff stayed at their posts without stopping work. We strictly implemented the duty and attendance system, regularly carried out safety production hazard inspections, kept a close eye on construction details, strictly adhered to the safety bottom line, and strictly controlled project quality. At the same time, in light of the favorable conditions for autumn construction, we continued to optimize the construction plan, scientifically allocated manpower and machinery, reasonably planned construction procedures, and advanced various construction operations in a compressed and overlapping manner, going all out to promote the early completion and use of the project."
After the project is completed, it will fill the gap in cold chain logistics in Zhangzi County, enhance the cold chain distribution and trading capacity of agricultural products, effectively break development bottlenecks such as difficulty in preserving freshness, high losses, and narrow sales channels, and accumulate momentum for the high-quality development of modern agriculture and the comprehensive advancement of rural revitalization.
