eToro analyst Farhan Badami stated that Nike's second-quarter results fell far short of convincing investors that its business is improving. Badami noted that while sales grew by approximately 1%, both profits and margins declined, reflecting the company's increased discounting efforts and ongoing shifts in channel mix. He pointed out that the recovery appears uneven, with key categories like basketball and sportswear yet to show sustained improvement. "The results highlight that significant work remains ahead," Badami said. Nike's stock price dropped 10% in after-hours trading.
