Sixteen Industries Achieve Double-Digit Value-Added Growth

Data released by the Ziyang Municipal Bureau of Statistics shows that the city's gross domestic product (GDP) reached 115.08 billion yuan in 2025. Calculated at constant prices, this represents a year-on-year increase of 5.8%, surpassing the provincial average growth rate by 0.3 percentage points. By sector, the primary industry recorded an added value of 21.68 billion yuan, up 3.3%; the secondary industry reached 32.59 billion yuan, growing by 7.0%; and the tertiary industry amounted to 60.81 billion yuan, increasing by 6.1%. Among 31 major industrial categories, 24 sectors experienced growth in value-added output, with 16 industries achieving double-digit growth. In 2025, Ziyang focused on economic development and construction, fostering new quality productive forces tailored to local conditions, and achieved new results in high-quality development. Industrial production, in particular, maintained rapid growth. Statistics indicate that the value-added output of industries above a designated size in Ziyang rose by 13.3% compared to the previous year. Key sectors showed varied performance: the medical equipment industry grew by 10.8%, equipment manufacturing increased by 16.1%, clean energy surged by 23.8%, electronic information expanded by 40.1%, and food and light textiles saw a modest rise of 0.9%.
