Feb 13

China Carbon Neutral Development Group Limited (1372) announced the termination of multiple agreements originally intended to foster carbon neutrality initiatives. According to the announcement, the company, along with its subsidiary China Carbon Green Credit Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Limited, had signed a cooperation framework agreement and supplementary agreements with TusCity Group and affiliated entities to develop carbon-neutral digital technology projects. Preliminary work involved surveying and design services by Lushan Ecological Environmental Construction Limited for potential rooftop photovoltaic power generation and related energy solutions.

The agreements were ultimately terminated due to several factors, including challenges in securing necessary approvals and policy adjustments affecting subsidies for photovoltaic projects. As a result, the relevant parties agreed to settle any outstanding matters based on services already provided, including design plans and asset returns.

Additionally, the company outlined measures to strengthen corporate governance and compliance. These include closer supervision of subsidiaries, enhanced approval processes for major transactions, and specialized training for directors and senior executives. The announcement indicates that a new internal control framework is being implemented, aimed at ensuring adherence to disclosure requirements under the Listing Rules.
