麦克莫兰铜金 （Freeport-McMoRan，代码：FCX）周三宣布，本月早些时候在其位于印度尼西亚的一座铜金矿发生泥石流事故，上周末发现两名工人遇难，另有五人仍然失踪。
公司表示，在 9 月 8 日 发生的此前披露的事故中，大约 80 万公吨泥浆和碎屑涌入矿井，并到达了失踪员工作业的服务层。
自泥石流发生以来，位于周边的 格拉斯伯格（Grasberg）矿区的采矿作业一直处于停产状态，目前搜救工作仍在继续。
董事长 理查德·C·阿德克森（Richard C. Adkerson） 和首席执行官 凯瑟琳·奎尔克（Kathleen Quirk） 在一份声明中表示：
“我们对在这场悲剧事件中失去的同事深感悲痛，向那些失去亲人或仍在等待亲人消息的家庭致以最诚挚的慰问。”
麦克莫兰铜金在周三的更新中指出，停产和基础设施损毁将带来财务影响。公司将第三季度的销售预期下调：铜销售下调 4%，黄金（代码：GC00）销售下调 6%，均较之前预测下降。初步评估显示，到 2026 年，产量可能比此前估计低 35%，但公司警告称，目前尚无足够信息来预测未来的产量水平。
根据道琼斯市场数据，麦克莫兰铜金股价周三在高成交量下收跌 16.95%。
与此同时，铜期货（代码：HG00）在麦克莫兰铜金新消息公布前一度走低，但随后大涨 4%，市场显然已开始消化未来供应减少的预期。
