The People's Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has issued the "Implementation Plan for the 'Artificial Intelligence Plus' Action in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region (2026-2028)." The plan proposes strengthening efforts to develop major industry-specific models in key sectors. Using mechanisms such as "unveiling top-ranked projects and appointing leaders," the plan guides various leagues and cities to develop and implement industry-specific models based on their resource endowments and characteristic advantageous industries. It supports Hohhot in focusing on creating major models for biomanufacturing, dairy industry, and grassland agriculture; supports Baotou in prioritizing the development of major models for steel metallurgy, equipment manufacturing, and rare earth new materials; supports Ordos in emphasizing major models for coal energy, modern coal chemical industry, and cashmere; and supports Ulanqab in concentrating on a major model for ferroalloys. Other leagues and cities are encouraged to develop and implement characteristic industry-specific models tailored to local conditions. High-quality industry model projects will be selected, and mechanisms for model adaptation, replication, and promotion will be established.
