OCEAN LINE PORT (08502) announced that on August 7, 2026, after the Hong Kong Stock Exchange trading session, its indirectly 72%-owned subsidiary, Chizhou Port Holdings, entered into an equipment procurement and installation contract with contractor Zhongli Construction Group Co., Ltd.
Under the terms of the contract, the contractor will be responsible for the equipment construction work valued at approximately RMB 24.913 million. The equipment will be used by Chizhou Port Holdings for its own purposes in the ordinary course of business.
The contract specifies that the contractor will undertake the equipment construction work at the Chizhou Jiangkou Port Area terminal. The equipment will be located at the Jiangkou Port Area in the Chizhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, Anhui Province, China.
The contractor's responsibilities include the manufacturing, installation, technical services, training, commissioning, testing, and acceptance of the loading system for Berth No. 5, which comprises five belt conveyors, one tail pit hopper, and one dust suppression system. Additionally, the contractor will handle two sets of power supply and distribution systems for Phase I and Phase II, including three dry-type transformers, 28 high-voltage cabinets, three sets of DC screens, and 38 low-voltage cabinets.
The contractor is also obligated to perform defect repair obligations during the defect liability period as stipulated in the contract.
This equipment construction is driven by the need to upgrade and replace outdated equipment at the Jiangkou Port Area terminal. It aims to eliminate some technologically lagging equipment, enhance the company's technical standards, and allow the company to benefit from China's national policy support. Furthermore, the equipment construction will meet the planning and environmental protection requirements of the Jiangkou Port Area.
The equipment construction is being undertaken by the group for its own use in the ordinary course of business. These measures are expected to benefit the long-term development of Chizhou Port Holdings' port business and enhance its competitiveness in the inland port operator market in Chizhou City, Anhui Province, China.
Given the above, the directors consider the terms and conditions of the equipment procurement and installation contract to be fair and reasonable, entered into on normal commercial terms. They believe that entering into this contract is in the best interests of the group and its shareholders as a whole.
