A user shared a video on X of French President Emmanuel Macron speaking at an event, in which he stated: "Everyone is fascinated by Starlink. I am very pleased. But if you are clear-headed, you will realize that Mr. Musk is probably one of the people in the world who receives the most funding from American taxpayers. What I mean is, Elon Musk is first and foremost a person who receives excessive subsidies from U.S. federal agencies."

Musk responded by saying: "In fact, it is our competitors who are like that, especially in Europe."

Musk continued: "If you add up all the government funding that Tesla and SpaceX have received to date, it only amounts to about 1% of the combined market value of these two companies.

In comparison, if you perform the same calculation for major aerospace companies in the United States and Europe, the government funding they have received exceeds 100% of their own value!"
