JINCHUAN INTL (02362) has announced its interim results for the 2026 fiscal year, showing a substantial surge in profitability.
The group recorded revenue of US$460 million, a 152.35% increase compared to the same period last year. Net profit attributable to shareholders reached US$47.816 million, marking a significant 766.07% year-on-year rise. Basic earnings per share stood at 0.36 US cents.
The company's gross profit climbed from US$38.5 million in the first half of 2025 to US$167.5 million in the first half of 2026, an increase of US$129 million. This growth was primarily driven by higher copper prices in the market, expanded production capacity following the commissioning of the Musonoi mine, and improved overall sales volume, which boosted copper product revenue. These gains were partially offset by rising mining and smelting costs, as well as increased depreciation and amortization expenses related to the Musonoi mine.
