SIA Engineering, Safran Aircraft Engines Sign LOI to Broaden CFM LEAP Engine Maintenance in Singapore

SIA Engineering Company Limited and Safran Aircraft Engines announced on Nov, 25 2025 that they have signed a Letter of Intent to explore an expansion of CFM LEAP engine maintenance services in Singapore, potentially including the creation of a joint-venture Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul facility.

The partners will assess options to add capabilities and capacity at SIA Engineering’s Aircraft Engine Services site in Changi North, supporting Safran Aircraft Engines’ global ramp-up of LEAP engine maintenance.

Both firms noted that the Letter of Intent is non-binding; there is no certainty any definitive agreements will be reached. SIA Engineering said it will release further announcements if material developments occur.

SIA Engineering Company is a major Asia-Pacific provider of aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul services, operating line maintenance at more than 30 airports in nine countries. Safran Aircraft Engines, part of the Safran Group, designs, produces and supports commercial and military aircraft engines and is co-owner of CFM International.
