Memory Chip Giant GIGADEVICE Hits Daily Limit Down, Ranking Third in A-Share Trading Volume

Gigadevice Semiconductor Inc. (SHA: 603986) tumbled to its daily limit down on July 28, leading a broad decline in the semiconductor supply chain, with memory chip and MCU chip sectors suffering the most.

Shares of the memory chip leader opened lower and continued to slide, hitting the 10% down limit. As of press time, the stock was trading at 390.63 yuan, giving it a total market capitalization of 274.1 billion yuan. Its trading volume exceeded 15 billion yuan, ranking it third among all A-share stocks.

The memory chip concept sector showed divergent performance. Zhìchún Kējì (Tochun Technology) hit its daily limit up, while Yuánjié Kējì (Yuanjie Technology), Pǔrán Gǔfèn (Puran Co., Ltd.), and Xī'ān Yìcái (Xi'an Yicai) all fell by more than 10%. Shēnnán Diànlù (Shennan Circuits) dropped over 9%, and C Chángxīn Wēi (CXM) edged down 0.16%.
