The Guizhou Province Artificial Intelligence Supply-Demand Matching Conference and the inauguration ceremony for the Artificial Intelligence Application Promotion Center were held on March 24 in the Guiyang National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone. The center aims to bridge the "last mile" between technology and industry.
The Guizhou Artificial Intelligence Application Promotion Center was selected through a public process led by the Guizhou Provincial Big Data Bureau. After evaluating applications from various enterprises and conducting expert assessments, the Big Data National Engineering Research Center (China Electronics Technology Group Big Data Institute) was chosen as the operating entity.
Operating on the principles of "government guidance, market leadership, open sharing, and collaborative innovation," the center will focus on six main tasks. These include identifying and cultivating application scenarios, promoting successful case studies, building bridges for supply-demand connections, exploring implementation pathways, fostering an industrial innovation ecosystem, and conducting standards implementation and effectiveness evaluations. The goal is to create an integrated, full-process service platform covering "scenario identification, solution matching, application promotion, and ecosystem cultivation" to drive high-quality industry development empowered by artificial intelligence.
During the conference, seven entities providing open scenarios and eight technology service providers jointly signed letters of intent to join the "Guizhou Artificial Intelligence Application Promotion Consortium." They will deepen cooperation in areas such as scenario openness and technical services to collectively explore the application value of AI. Additionally, eight organizations signed project cooperation agreements to collaborate on think tank partnerships, technology research and development, scenario implementation, and industrial coordination.
Officials stated that artificial intelligence is a strategic emerging industry shaping the future, and its application promotion is a critical step for moving AI technology from the "laboratory" to the "production line," and from isolated breakthroughs to scaled empowerment. The establishment of the Guizhou Artificial Intelligence Application Promotion Center is a concrete implementation of China's "AI Plus" action plan. The official operation of the center and the formation of the application promotion consortium will create an efficient bridge for AI suppliers and users in Guizhou, promoting high-quality industry development through AI empowerment and providing strong support for Guizhou's goal of becoming a national hub for artificial intelligence applications.
