CGN New Energy Holdings Co., Ltd. (01811) has announced that, effective 6 March 2026, Mr. Zhang Zhiwu resigned from his roles as Chairman, Executive Director, Chairman of the Nomination Committee, and Authorised Representative. Mr. Zhang also ceased to serve as President of the company. According to the announcement, Mr. Zhang has confirmed that he has no disagreement with the board.

Meanwhile, the board appointed Mr. Hu Guangyao, aged 54, as Chairman, Executive Director, Chairman of the Nomination Committee, and Authorised Representative. Mr. Hu will carry out his duties as President until a new President is appointed. He brings extensive corporate management experience, having served in various leadership positions within the nuclear power sector and related organisations.

Following this leadership transition, the Nomination Committee now comprises Mr. Hu (Chairman), Ms. Mu Wenjun, Mr. Wang Minhao, Mr. Yang Xiaosheng, and Mr. Leung Chi Ching Frederick. Other board committees remain unchanged. The board expressed its appreciation for Mr. Zhang’s contributions and welcomed Mr. Hu’s appointment to these new roles.
