Azeus Systems Holdings Ltd reported net profit of HK$48.3 million for the six months ended Sept 30, 2025, edging down 1.2 per cent year-on-year as higher spending on marketing and development offset a double-digit rise in sales of its proprietary software products.

Basic earnings per share slipped to HK$1.61 from HK$1.63 a year earlier. The board declared an interim cash dividend of HK$1.60 per ordinary share, unchanged from the corresponding period last year; payment and book-closure dates will be announced later.

Revenue grew 9.6 per cent year-on-year to HK$185.5 million. Azeus Products, led by the flagship Convene board-meeting platform, generated HK$155.8 million, up 13.1 per cent and accounting for 84 per cent of group turnover. Pre-tax earnings from the product segment rose to HK$66.8 million. IT Services revenue fell 6.6 per cent to HK$29.6 million, with segment profit before tax at HK$8.3 million as maintenance contracts wound down.

Group gross margin held steady at 73.0 per cent despite a 8.7 per cent increase in cost of revenue to HK$50.0 million, reflecting higher cloud-hosting fees and staff costs. Selling and marketing expenses climbed 32.9 per cent to HK$40.4 million as the company expanded its sales force and stepped up promotional activities. Research and development spending rose 11.7 per cent to HK$20.1 million, mainly due to outsourcing costs for new feature development.

Regionally, revenue gains were broad-based, with the Middle East up 30 per cent to HK$30.0 million and Europe up 15 per cent to HK$30.2 million, while Hong Kong and other Asian markets maintained flat sales at HK$88.4 million.

Management said full-year earnings for FY2026 are expected to be comparable to FY2025. The company noted that revenue from the completed Central Electronic Recordkeeping System project for the Hong Kong SAR government will taper off, but this is expected to be offset by continued growth in Convene subscriptions and new offerings such as the ESG reporting platform, Presgo. Azeus will sustain “substantial” R&D investment, including the integration of artificial intelligence into its product suite, and will pursue expansion into additional geographic markets.
