U.S. Stocks Open Higher on Monday; CoreWeave Stock Jumps 10% as Nvidia Invests $2 Billion

U.S. stocks opened higher on Monday as traders monitored political developments and braced for a big week of key earnings reports as well as a U.S. monetary policy meeting.

The broad market index advanced 0.2%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 170 points, or 0.4%. The Nasdaq Composite traded around the flatline.

Shares of CoreWeave popped 10% on Monday after Nvidia announced it has invested $2 billion in the artificial intelligence infrastructure provider.

Nvidia purchased CoreWeave Class A common stock at $87.20 per share, according to a release. The share price is a discount from Friday’s closing price of $92.98.
