Two Major Lithium Iron Phosphate Energy Storage Projects in Shandong Go Online with 720 Million Yuan Investment

Two large-scale energy storage projects, each with a capacity of hundreds of megawatts, have recently been fully connected to the grid and put into operation in Shandong Province.

The projects are the Qingdao Yunrong 200MW/400MWh independent energy storage project and the Dezhou Lingcheng District 150MW/300MWh independent shared energy storage station. Their total investment is approximately 720 million yuan.

The Qingdao Yunrong 200MW/400MWh independent energy storage project is a key provincial energy storage demonstration initiative. Located in the Qingdao Rail Transit Industry Demonstration Zone, this project has a total investment of over 400 million yuan and covers an area of about 32.4 mu.

The project is planned to be built all at once, constructing a 200MW/400MWh lithium iron phosphate battery energy storage system. Both the battery system and the step-up system will use an outdoor container layout. The site is divided into three functional zones: the energy storage area, the step-up area, and the office area.

Within the energy storage area, 53 sets of energy storage and supporting step-up systems are installed. The 220kV step-up station is equipped with one 240MVA main transformer and includes supporting electrical equipment such as 220kV GIS.

The Dezhou Lingcheng District 150MW/300MWh independent shared energy storage station was built by Dezhou Rongji Industrial Investment Group. It is the first hundred-megawatt-level "independent shared power bank" in Lingcheng District, with a total investment of 320 million yuan.

The project uses a lithium iron phosphate solution, enabling the entire station to complete the charging or discharging of 300,000 kWh of electricity within two hours. The entire system employs an outdoor container layout, comprising 30 sets of energy storage units, each with a capacity of 5MW/10MWh. The project also includes the construction of a 220kV step-up station and a 2.5-kilometer transmission line.
