On February 6th, visitors at the Tianjin Museum admired the Gilt Bronze Boshan Censer from the Hebei Museum up close. Following the immense popularity of the Hebei Museum's treasured Changxin Palace Lamp during its visit to the Tianjin Museum last year, its companion piece, the Gilt Bronze Boshan Censer, has now arrived. "It's a major internet sensation; the Seven-Colored Lotus in the movie 'Nezha 2' was modeled after it. It's a must-see," said Tianjin visitor Chen Jing as she enthusiastically recommended it to her friends upon arriving at the museum with the "Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei: A Shared Heart" media tour group. Chen, an avid cultural relics enthusiast, made a special trip to see the Changxin Palace Lamp during its exhibition in Tianjin last year. She vividly recalled the overwhelming response: "The queue stretched for hundreds of meters, with some people waiting four or five hours just to catch a glimpse of the 'World's Premier Lamp.' It was all over social media." This year, she specifically booked tickets for a weekday to better appreciate the Gilt Bronze Boshan Censer. Under the lighting, the censer's intricate gilt cloud patterns, along with hidden figures of dragons, tigers, and people among mountainous designs, created a stunning display of craftsmanship, blending delicacy and grandeur. Although Chen had seen numerous pictures online, witnessing the artifact in person left her in awe: "Truly a national treasure." Qian Ling, Deputy Secretary of the Tianjin Museum's Party Committee, explained that the Gilt Bronze Boshan Censer is the star exhibit of the current Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Ancient Chinese Censer Exhibition. Alongside it, other precious artifacts on display include collections from the Capital Museum, the Ivory Carved Gourd-shaped Censer from the Hebei Museum, and the Ding Kiln White-Glazed Bean-shaped Censer from the Dingzhou Museum. The gathering of artifacts from the three regions has sparked a pre-Spring Festival surge in visitors to the Tianjin Museum, with daily attendance reaching up to ten thousand people since the exhibition opened. The trend extends beyond Tianjin. At the Capital Museum, a Temple Fair Culture Exhibition with the same regional theme is underway, featuring Yu County paper-cuttings and Wuqiang New Year paintings from Hebei, alongside temple fair-themed artifacts from Beijing and Tianjin, creating a strong festive atmosphere. Meanwhile, the Hebei Museum is meticulously preparing a special exhibition on Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development, set to open to the public on February 10th. "Pooling resources from the three regions to curate exhibitions that resonate with the public is an active initiative we have undertaken in recent years," stated Qian Ling. Through original planning, inter-museum exchanges, and collaborative exhibitions, the three areas are breaking down geographical barriers, revitalizing cultural relics, and enabling their circulation, thereby achieving deep sharing of cultural resources. "The Tianjin Museum alone has hosted over ten related exhibitions in recent years, some of which became blockbuster events." The "Unified by Heaven: Qin and Han Dynasty Artifact Thematic Exhibition," held at the Tianjin Museum during last year's New Year, generated a phenomenal response. During the exhibition, the Tianjin Museum and Hebei Museum collaborated on selling Changxin Palace Lamp-themed cultural and creative products. Due to the exhibition's popularity, the product line sold out three times, prompting Hebei Post to specially allocate additional stock, setting a precedent for cross-regional cultural creative collaboration. During the current Gilt Bronze Boshan Censer exhibition, the two museums have again partnered, with sales of related creative products performing exceptionally well. Zhou Tianqing, a salesperson at the Tianjin Museum's cultural products store, noted that since the censer's display, related items have frequently sold out, requiring multiple restocks. Holding up a Gilt Bronze Boshan Censer refrigerator magnet, he announced, "The esteemed Gilt Bronze Boshan Censer will be returning home soon. This is the last one of this batch. If you want it, come quickly—otherwise, you'll have to go to Hebei to get it!" Sharing common historical roots and cultural heritage, Qian Ling emphasized that beyond joint exhibitions, the three regions are promoting innovation in cultural creative products and expanding sales channels through inter-museum consignment sales, cross-industry collaborations, and participation in trade exchanges, integrating cultural heritage into public life.
