First Real Estate Investment Trust (AW9U) said on Jun, 07 2026 that its trustee, Perpetual (Asia) Limited, has entered into deal-contingent non-deliverable foreign-exchange forward contracts to hedge about 3,850,000 million Indonesian rupiah of expected sale proceeds from the planned disposal of Siloam hospitals, representing 75.2% of the Siloam divestment consideration.

The contracts will settle around the payment date of the divestment proceeds and use a baseline rupiah-to-Singapore dollar spot rate between 13,924 and 13,994, adjusted by a forward swap rate. Based on those rates, the hedged sum corresponds to roughly 276 million Singapore dollars.

The REIT said the hedging aims to mitigate the risk of a weaker rupiah against the Singapore dollar, which could erode the amount available for a planned special distribution to unitholders after the completion of the divestments. The total Siloam divestment consideration is IDR5.1 trillion, while the separate non-core asset sale proceeds are denominated in Singapore dollars and therefore require no currency hedge.

Management added that it may undertake further hedging for the remaining 24.8% of the Siloam proceeds and will update investors on any material developments.
