Intellia Therapeutics' stock experienced a significant after-hours plunge of 5.46% on Thursday, following the release of its fourth-quarter and full-year 2025 financial results.

While the biopharmaceutical company reported a narrower net loss and revenue that surpassed analyst expectations, investors focused on several concerning factors. The company's cash, cash equivalents, and marketable securities decreased to approximately $605 million at the end of 2025, down from about $862 million a year earlier, raising concerns about its cash runway. Furthermore, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's clinical hold on the MAGNITUDE Phase 3 trial for its drug candidate nex-z remains unresolved, creating uncertainty around a key development program.

The negative after-hours movement also suggests potential profit-taking, as the stock had risen 49.3% during the quarter leading up to the earnings report, contrasting with a 4.3% gain noted in premarket activity following the results announcement.
