Major Tech Stocks Surge Broadly, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD.US) Jumps Over 9%

On Monday, the three major U.S. stock indices opened higher collectively, with the Nasdaq Composite surging 2.5%. Leading technology stocks saw widespread gains.

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD.US) soared more than 9%, while Micron Technology (MU.US) and SpaceX (SPCX.US) climbed over 7%. Intel (INTC.US) advanced more than 4%. Amazon.com (AMZN.US) and Meta Platforms, Inc. (META.US) both rose over 3%, with NVIDIA (NVDA.US) and Apple (AAPL.US) gaining more than 2%.

Market sentiment was boosted by news that a U.S.-Iran peace agreement is nearing signing. After nearly four months of conflict, peace talks have achieved a breakthrough. The United States, Iran, and key mediator Pakistan have all stated that an agreement has been reached and will be formally signed in Switzerland this Friday. U.S. President Trump and Pakistani Prime Minister Sharif both announced that the U.S. and Iran had reached a deal. Iran has also officially confirmed the completion of a U.S.-Iran ceasefire memorandum of understanding.
