China International Marine Containers (Group) Co., Ltd. (CIMC, Stock Code: 02039) reported that Mr. Yang Xiong submitted his resignation letter, citing personal reasons. He resigned as independent non-executive director, chairman of the Audit Committee, and member of multiple board committees.

Following his resignation, the number of independent directors will be below the required one-third threshold, and no accounting professional will remain among them. Consequently, according to relevant regulations and the company’s Articles of Association, Mr. Yang will continue to serve until a new independent director is elected and approved by shareholders.

The company stated that Mr. Yang has no disagreements with its board and leaves no issues that warrant attention from shareholders or creditors. He did not hold any shares in the company. CIMC plans to complete the process of electing a new independent director and forming relevant board committees in compliance with regulations.
