In a recent initiative, the first community of New World Garden under Nanhu Sub-district organized a comprehensive cybersecurity awareness campaign aligned with the theme "Smart Era, Cybersecurity Safeguard."

The program was a collaborative effort involving the local police precinct and volunteer teams, aiming to deliver essential cybersecurity knowledge directly to residents and strengthen their overall digital safety awareness and protective capabilities.

The campaign's focus was tailored to practical daily scenarios. Educational pamphlets were distributed, addressing key topics such as telecommunication fraud prevention, personal data protection, and the safe use of smart devices. Special attention was given to elderly residents, who are often more vulnerable to scams. Volunteers used real-life examples, including cases of "AI face-swapping fraud" and "fraudulent lottery links," to break down these deceptive tactics in an accessible manner. Additionally, they provided one-on-one assistance to help seniors install and set up the "National Anti-Fraud Center" mobile application.

The event successfully fostered a strong community atmosphere of shared responsibility for cybersecurity. Building on this momentum, the community plans to integrate cybersecurity education into its regular initiatives, continuously refining its outreach methods, and ensuring that this essential information reaches every household. This effort is part of a broader commitment to establishing a robust community defense and contributing to a safer, more transparent digital ecosystem.
