PROSPER CONS (06816) announced that the group expects to record a pre-tax loss of no less than HK$49 million for the six months ended June 30, 2025, compared to a pre-tax loss of HK$62 million for the same period in 2024. The expected loss represents a narrowing of approximately HK$13 million.

According to the announcement, the group's general construction business showed improvement during the interim period of 2025, with gross profit expected to increase by approximately HK$28 million. However, the settlement results of one completed project in the marine engineering business were unsatisfactory, leading to a reduction in gross profit of approximately HK$16 million.

Overall, despite the improved performance of the general construction business, operating revenue was insufficient to offset administrative expenses and finance costs, resulting in the expected loss for the 2025 interim period.
