Alphabet's Google will introduce verified badges for investment applications on its Indian app store, a senior official from the Securities and Exchange Board of India stated on Wednesday. The initiative is designed to assist users in identifying legitimate trading platforms and avoiding scams.

This measure will permit only brokers and intermediaries registered with the Securities and Exchange Board of India to display a verified badge. This will help users recognize authorized platforms and distinguish them from fraudulent applications that imitate them.
