CGN Power Co., Ltd. announced a postponement in electing its fifth-session board of directors after the nomination process for new candidates remained unfinished. The current, fourth-session board—originally scheduled to end its mandate on 8 October 2026—will therefore remain in place beyond that date to ensure seamless governance.
All committees under the fourth-session board will have their terms extended concurrently. Existing directors, comprising one executive director, four non-executive directors and three independent non-executive directors, will continue to discharge their statutory and fiduciary duties until the election of the new board is completed.
Management, represented by Chief Financial Officer, Joint Company Secretary and Board Secretary Mr. Yin Engang, stated that the postponement will not disrupt day-to-day operations. CGN Power reiterated its intention to finalise the board election “as soon as practicable” and to meet all disclosure requirements stipulated by prevailing regulations.
