Shares of Amrize Ltd (AMRZ) tumbled 5.10% in after-hours trading on Thursday following the release of its second-quarter earnings report, which showed adjusted earnings per share fell short of Wall Street expectations.
The company reported adjusted diluted EPS of $0.88 for the second quarter, missing the analyst consensus estimate of $0.94 by 6.38%. While revenue of $3.494 billion beat the $3.365 billion estimate and adjusted EBITDA of $986 million exceeded the $978.1 million forecast, the bottom-line miss weighed heavily on investor sentiment. Net income rose 14.4% year-over-year to $476 million, but the earnings shortfall overshadowed the top-line strength.
Adding to concerns, Amrize updated its full-year 2026 guidance, raising its revenue outlook to $12.5–$12.7 billion but keeping adjusted EBITDA guidance at $3.1–$3.2 billion. The company cited oil price-driven cost inflation as a headwind to earnings, noting higher freight, diesel, and raw materials costs that are expected to pressure margins in the second half of the year.
